Sveta Nedjelja – Safe and smart pedestrians
City of Sveta Nedjelja joined campaign for safe pedestrians City of Sveta Nedelja joined campaign for safe pedestrians. Sveta Nedelja has installed three Detas illuminating and signaling APL 4 Smart and Safe pedestrian crossings Systems on its pedestrian crossings. APL 4 Smart and safe systems are installed on life threatening locations.
In year 2019. Detas d.o.o. installed Smart and safe illumination in Kerestinec, Orašje and Novaki. These critical locations got APL Smart and safe solution 4. APL Smart and safe system 4 arises from the need to offer a product that can be used as retrofitting on old installations, and for some applications where it is not possible to install columns on both sides of the pavement.

Citizens have very postitive feedback on solutions. They voluntarily send requests in order to place as many such smart and safe solutions as possible on pedestrian crossings. Especially near schools, kindergartens and halls.
Example: citizen of Sveta Nedelja contacted us via e-mail and asked us to contact the mayor of Sveta Nedelja, Dario Zurovec, to place such Smart and safe solutions on another critical pedestrian crossing near the school.
Quote from the Mayor Dario Zurovec:
“In 2020 we joined the campaign for Smart and Safe Pedestrian Crossings. The reason for this is that we were aware of vulnerable groups in traffic, especially at pedestrian crossings. Such situations are caused by poor visibility in the dark, fog or simply reduced concentration of the person behind the wheel.
Detas d.o.o. and their solutions are the perfect choice because they are the only ones on the market that offer this type of illumination, perfectly illuminating the body of pedestrians, that makes them visible from sufficient distance for the driver. They also comply with European standards which makes them even more desirable. Detas owns the technology and products that have truly changed our pedestrian crossings and the perception of our citizens, drivers, and have also aesthetically brought charm to our roads.
We will certainly consider that we continue with this campaign as we are also provided with opportunities to co-finance projects through EU funds.”
